I worked in all sky scenes during the spring break. I still need to animate the character, and fix some movement details in the environment.

This will be the final look for the star, I played overlapping layers and using blending modes. In this speccific scene, I started using colored pencil, and is showed in the sky and on the ground, I love the contrast of textures and what the colored pencil brings the the scenes.

I'm basically working on the sky scenes. During the winter break I worked in the main character movement of almost all scenes, I started to composite with the background on the last 2 weeks.

The story

/Manu invented a flying suit. He tries it out by jumping to a lake from a high border. It doesn't work, Manu goes down into the water.

/Underwater he notices something shiny in the bottom, a tenuous light, he goes deep and finds a rare starfish.

/He takes it home and put it in a bowl next to his bed.
While he is watching TV, the star raises up from the fish tank, and goes up (for a short moment of time).

/Manu is amazed and shocked. After a while, He moves his head in direction to the window, and watch the sky (:like comparing).
/He turns back and understands that the star in his room, is not a starfish, is a real star that fell from the sky.

/The star flashes and falls into the floor, Manu runs to hold it.

/He takes it outside. (He will help the star to go back to the sky).

1.He tries with a swing.
2.He tides the star in to a tree, but it fells again.
3.He tides it up and try to raise it as a kite. In his second intent, the star takes him away into the sky. Manu holds the string astonished. He looks back, and see his house getting smaller because of the height.

/He turns back and the whimsical journey begins. The star shows him three levels of the clouds, where he explores and discover fantastical worlds and beings.

(Manu becomes older while he is flying, and the sky change from night to day).

/Manu wakes up in his room as an adult.

/He takes a little box from the bedside table and lives the room.

/A small white metal door opens. Two hands (with white gloves) take the same box out.
The hands carry the box outside.

/The box gets exposed.

/The box gets exposed.

/The shot opens (scene):
In the moon...
A star comes out from the box and goes up into the sky.
The astronaut rises next to it.

[Synopsis]

Manu is a 6 year old boy that discovers a rare starfish on the bottom of a lake, while he is trying to fly jumping with an invented suit. He takes it home and finds out that is a star that fell from the sky. He brings her outside so she can go up, but the star only rise a little. He believes that he must help her get into the sky, so he starts doing different things to push her. First he tries with swing, then he tides a thread around it and fly it as a comet, and finally he hangs it from a tree. But no success, after thinking a lot, Manu takes it in his room and puts her inside a shoebox in his closet. Every time the doors opens Manu gets older, the door change colors and forms as it get closed.
One day, some hands take the box and put it in a metal suitcase and later in a smallest closet. The door opens and again the box comes out, a pair of white big gloves open the shoebox. The star rises up, it had never bright like that before. The shot opens, and an astronaut is burying a flag in the moon, the star is shining next to him.
